Across hundreds of clinical trials, adverse events associated with photobiomodulation are rare and typically minor. A 2025 international expert consensus found that red and near-infrared light PBM does not appear to induce DNA damage at therapeutic parameters. It is not appropriate during pregnancy over the abdomen, directly over active cancers, or over the eyes without protection. Suitability depends on individual assessment.

Currently this includes knee osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, post-surgical recovery support and peripheral neuropathy. We do not make claims about conditions outside the musculoskeletal evidence base.
No. Consumer devices typically deliver far lower energy levels than clinical-grade equipment. We use a clinical-grade device that delivers super-pulsed laser at therapeutic parameters. The clinical evidence is based on devices with these specific characteristics.
